About the Presenter
Melanie Wing
Former SCIP President, ex-JPMorgan Chase & Co., Proactive Worldwide

Melanie Wing is a recognized thought leader in competitive and business intelligence. She specializes in understanding market trends and competitive dynamics and in converting them into results-oriented marketing strategies.

Melanie joined Proactive after 7+ years with JPMorgan Chase & Co. Melanie's last position was First Vice President and Senior Group Manager of competitive intelligence at Chase Card Services. She also held senior marketing manager positions in brand management and marketing strategy and served as Chief of Staff to the Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to Chase, she worked in the utility industry and for several large law firms, managing market and competitive intelligence. Ms. Wing began her career at KPMG.

Additionally, Ms. Wing is a former member of the board of directors of Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), served as its president from 2003-2004 and is a winner of its Fellows and Catalyst Awards. Melanie is also a founding member of SCIP's Womens' Leadership Council, formed to develop women in the field of competitive intelligence. She is a former member of the Competitive Intelligence Foundation Board of Trustees and is past Chair of the Research Advisory Council. She serves on the steering committee for the SCIP Chicago Chapter.
